History

Mars Hill Outdoors was first created under the direct administration of former Mars Hill Pastor Mike Gunn and Deacon Bryan Nelson roughly 8 years ago, in 2000.  MHO has grown and changed since its inception at Mars Hill Church, undergoing transitions in leadership and administration, but remains an organization that is passionate about Jesus, the outdoors and the people in its community.  Over the years, MHO has spread its banner over many trips and activities, including, the Sun Peaks Ski Retreat, rock climbing at Smith Rock in Oregon, wind surfing in the Gorge, scuba in the Puget Sound, mountain biking, running, snowshoeing, hiking, backpacking and mission trips to Nepal and Peru.
